HVAC Pipe Fitter - NYC Work

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Pipe Fitter with a strong background in HVAC piping installations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of integrity, a positive attitude, and consistent work performance, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HVAC piping installations, including refrigerant, chilled water (CHW), and condenser water (CW) systems.
• Proficient in brazing, soldering, installing screwed pipe, nitrogen testing, and interpreting piping diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• EPA Certification.
• OSHA SST Card.
• Current F60 / G60 certification.
• Ability to complete work efficiently, in an organized and timely manner.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work at heights.
• Ability to sustain long periods of standing, walking, climbing, and lifting/carrying 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Install mechanical equipment such as AC units, pumps, and associated piping systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and piping diagrams accurately.
• Perform pipe fitting tasks including cutting, threading, brazing, soldering, and assembling piping systems.
• Conduct nitrogen testing and pressure testing to ensure system integrity.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other trades.

Shop is located in Queens, most work is in NYC.
