Service Dept Manager HVAC (Buffalo)

HVAC Mechanical Contractor is actively seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Service Manager Position.

Job duties would be to perform HVAC follow-up calls to customers in efforts to secure and execute small project work, and to obtain leads for service contracts. This job position requires the ability to manage jobs concurrently. This position requires the ability to effectively/efficiently manage and dispatch a team of technicians daily. We also require that service manager possesses the ability collect and price up field reports from their technicians weekly.

JOB DESCRIPTION

•Secures new work from customer base.
•Estimates work and presents proposals/quotes to customers. Follows up with customer in timely manner.
•Coordinates layouts/detailing for proper job installation/service.
•Proactively investigates opportunities for improvements in the project that will result in increased revenue.
•Responsible for management including purchasing, cost control, billings.
•Meet with Senior Leadership Team to report progress.
•Maintain hands-on involvement throughout project
•Develops and maintains viable long-term relationships with customers and subcontractors.
•Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
•Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
