Martinelli Plumbing & Heating, Inc. is hiring a skilled HVAC Service Technician who can both perform quality HVAC service work and effectively communicate service options to clients. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys hands-on problem-solving while building trust with customers and offering service upgrades without high-pressure sales tactics. Job Overview
You will be responsible for residential and light-commercial HVAC service calls, including diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. You will also serve as a key customer contact—explaining findings, providing repair options, and recommending system enhancements or replacements when appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills
6+ years of HVAC service experience (residential or light commercial)
EPA Universal Certification required
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Sales-minded but customer-focused—able to present solutions without pressure
Clean and valid driver’s license required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in crawl spaces or attics
Experience with mini-split systems, boilers, and heat pumps is a plus
NATE certification preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay: $25–$35+ per hour (based on experience and performance)
Sales incentives and performance bonuses
Weekly pay cycle
Work Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday
Occasional weekend or overtime work, depending on emergency service demand
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
Perform routine service, maintenance, and inspections
Clearly communicate findings and recommended solutions to customers
Offer service upgrades or replacement options in a consultative, non-pressure manner
Complete service reports and maintain accurate job documentation
Maintain truck inventory, tools, and equipment
Follow all safety protocols, local codes, and company procedures
Coordinate with dispatch and office staff to manage schedules efficiently
Maintain a professional appearance and deliver outstanding customer service
