Texas Air Repair is hiring an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to serve customers throughout San Antonio, Austin, and surrounding communities.
We are a growing, family-owned company looking for a skilled, dependable technician who can accurately diagnose residential HVAC systems, complete quality repairs, communicate professionally, and provide customers with honest solutions.
COMPENSATION
- W-2, non-exempt employee position
- Performance-based commission compensation
- Weekly direct deposit
- Overtime eligibility
- Expected earning potential: [$100,000 to $175,000 annually]

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and repair residential air-conditioning and heating systems
- Perform maintenance, inspections, and system evaluations
- Troubleshoot electrical, airflow, refrigerant, communicating, and inverter-system problems
- Clearly explain findings and repair options to homeowners
- Provide honest recommendations without using high-pressure sales tactics
- Prepare accurate repair estimates and obtain customer authorization
- Recommend appropriate indoor-air-quality products, upgrades, and maintenance memberships
- Complete approved repairs safely and efficiently
- Properly document model numbers, serial numbers, readings, photos, recommendations, and completed work
- Use Housecall Pro to manage jobs, invoices, estimates, notes, and customer communication
- Collect payments and ensure job documentation is complete before closing calls
- Maintain an organized company vehicle and assigned tools
- Follow company procedures, manufacturer instructions, and applicable codes
- Protect customers’ homes and leave work areas clean
- Participate in scheduled on-call and after-hours rotations
- Stand behind completed work and help resolve legitimate callback issues
- Maintain professional communication with customers, coworkers, dispatchers, and management
- At least 3 years of residential HVAC service experience preferred
- EPA Section 608 certification required
- Current Texas HVAC Technician Registration or ability to obtain it
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor-vehicle record
- Strong electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and system-diagnostic skills
- Ability to diagnose conventional, heat-pump, variable-speed, communicating, and inverter equipment
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
- Professional appearance and excellent customer-service skills
- Comfortable presenting repair and replacement options
- Able to use mobile applications, tablets, email, and field-service software
- Able to work in Texas heat, attics, crawlspaces, and other residential environments
- Able to safely lift and move HVAC tools, equipment, and components
- Dependable attendance and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
