HVAC Service Technician / Installer
Uplift Restoration is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician / Installer to join our growing team. We are a licensed contractor providing HVAC, restoration, electrical, plumbing, and general contracting services. Most of our HVAC work is residential, with some light commercial work as needed.
We are looking for someone reliable, professional, mechanically skilled, and able to diagnose, repair, maintain, and install HVAC systems with confidence.
Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level
Schedule: Full-Time
Additional Compensation: Performance-based bonuses and approved sales/upgrade incentives available for qualified recommendations and completed work
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential HVAC systems
Perform HVAC system installations, change-outs, maintenance, and equipment replacements
Work on split systems, package units, heat pumps, furnaces, condensers, air handlers, mini-splits, and related HVAC components
Perform basic electrical troubleshooting related to HVAC equipment, including low-voltage controls, thermostats, contactors, capacitors, motors, relays, boards, and safeties
Read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and basic HVAC layout plans
Perform routine maintenance, coil cleaning, filter replacement, refrigerant checks, airflow checks, and system performance testing
Identify needed repairs, upgrades, replacement options, and maintenance recommendations
Communicate professionally with customers and clearly explain findings, options, and next steps
Complete job notes, photos, service documentation, and invoices accurately
Follow company procedures, safety standards, and applicable codes
Assist with residential and light commercial HVAC service calls as needed
Qualifications:
Experience as an HVAC service technician, installer, or similar field role
Strong knowledge of residential HVAC service, installation, and troubleshooting
Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical HVAC issues
Experience using gauges, meters, ohmmeters, vacuum pumps, recovery machines, and standard HVAC diagnostic tools
EPA certification preferred
Valid driver’s license required
Clean driving record preferred
Must be reliable, punctual, and professional with customers
Ability to lift equipment and work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and outdoor conditions as needed
Experience with mini-splits, package units, heat pumps, and ductwork is a plus
Commercial HVAC experience is a plus but not required
