Job description: Technical Support Specialist I (Commercial HVAC)
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
Location: Orlando, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Day Shift
Travel: Approximately 20-40% (after training and ramp up, company truck provided)
***Entry level HVAC knowledge required
What You’ll Do
· Provide technical phone support to customers, contractors, and service technicians on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
· Troubleshoot equipment, controls, refrigeration systems, and installation issues.
· Assist customers with maintenance, repair, warranty, and replacement parts questions.
· Perform equipment start-ups and installation supervision at customer sites when required.
· Complete field warranty service and repair work as needed.
· Train customers, representatives, and internal team members on proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
· Work closely with Engineering, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Applications Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues and improve customer satisfaction.
· Document service activities and technical findings clearly and accurately.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
· Associate degree in Electronics, HVAC Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical field OR
· 3+ years of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, controls, or technical service experience.
· Strong troubleshooting skills with commercial or industrial HVAC systems.
· Understanding of the refrigeration cycle, heating, cooling, and controls.
· Experience using diagnostic equipment such as:
o Volt meters
o Amp clamps
o Thermometers
o Psychrometers
· Ability to braze refrigeration joints.
· Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical drawings, installation manuals, and service documentation.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Comfortable working directly with customers in both phone and field environments.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. AutoCAD experience is a plus.
