Description
We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Duties
Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals related to HVAC design and system installation.
Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform electrical system troubleshooting.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure efficient operation and longevity.
Repair or replace mechanical components such as compressors, fans, motors, valves, and piping; perform welding and plumbing tasks as needed.
Utilize building automation systems (BAS) to optimize system performance and monitor operational parameters.
Maintain accurate service records, document repairs performed, and communicate effectively with clients regarding system status.
Operate hand tools and specialized equipment safely while adhering to company policies.
Assist in the training of junior technicians or apprentices when necessary.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an HVAC technician with construction experience preferred; service technician experience is highly valued.
Strong mechanical knowledge including HVAC/R systems repair, installation, and maintenance.
Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals related to HVAC design.
Experience with electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; familiarity with electrical systems within HVAC equipment.
Knowledge of refrigeration systems.
Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently using diagnostic procedures.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, welding equipment, plumbing techniques, and mechanical systems repair.
Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, boilers, property maintenance tasks, appliance repair, and general mechanical systems repair.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Physical ability to perform field service tasks in various environments; willingness to work flexible hours if required.
