HVAC Technician & HVAC Manager — Warranty Claims Experience Preferred

We're hiring for two positions and looking for candidates who are comfortable working home warranty claims — American Home Shield, Choice Home Warranty, First American, Old Republic, 2-10, or similar — and know how to navigate the claims process from first call to final authorization.

1. HVAC Technician
Job Type: Full-Time | Pay: $Hourly and Commission
About the Role
Renew Home Services is looking for an experienced HVAC Technician to service residential systems across Central Florida. This role involves diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems while managing the administrative side of warranty work — documenting findings, communicating with adjusters, and securing authorizations before parts and labor are approved.
What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems (AC units, heat pumps, air handlers, ductwork, thermostats, refrigerant issues, etc.)
• Work claims for home warranty companies from intake through completion
• Call in and follow up on authorization requests with warranty providers before performing covered repairs
• Accurately document diagnoses, photos, and notes required for warranty claim approval
• Explain coverage limitations, exclusions, and out-of-pocket costs to homeowners clearly and professionally
• Order parts and schedule return visits as needed once authorizations are approved
• Maintain accurate paperwork for each claim (invoices, authorization numbers, claim numbers)
• Provide excellent customer service in homeowners' residences

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience working warranty company HVAC claims (strongly preferred)
• Familiarity with the authorization/approval process and what info adjusters need to avoid claim denials or delays
• EPA 608 certification (required)
• 2+ years of HVAC experience (residential preferred)
• Strong phone communication skills — you'll be talking with warranty reps regularly
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Detail-oriented with good documentation habits — claims live or die on paperwork

Nice to Have

• Experience with multiple warranty providers (AHS, Choice, First American, Old Republic, 2-10, etc.)
• Ductless mini-split experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

2. HVAC Manager

About the Role
Renew Home Services is looking for an HVAC Manager to lead our Central Florida service team, with a strong focus on warranty company operations. This role oversees the technician team, manages warranty claim workflows at scale, and serves as the escalation point for complex authorizations, denials, and adjuster negotiations.
What You'll Do

• Supervise and support a team of HVAC technicians handling residential service and warranty claims
• Own the warranty claims process end-to-end: intake, authorization calls, escalations, denials, and appeals
• Serve as the primary point of contact for warranty company account managers and adjusters
• Review technician documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission to warranty providers
• Track claim status, authorization turnaround times, and denial rates; identify process improvements
• Train technicians on warranty company requirements, documentation standards, and call-in procedures
• Handle scheduling, dispatch oversight, and quality control for warranty-related jobs
• Manage relationships with multiple warranty providers and their differing portals/processes
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of HVAC technicians
• Report on claim volume, approval rates, and revenue from warranty work to ownership/leadership

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience managing or working warranty company HVAC claims (required)
• Deep familiarity with the authorization/approval process across multiple warranty providers
• Prior supervisory or team-lead experience in HVAC or a related trade
• EPA 608 certification; Florida HVAC contractor license (or ability to obtain) preferred
• 5+ years of HVAC experience, including field and administrative/managerial work
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills — you'll be the one pushing back on denials and negotiating authorizations
• Strong organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple claims and technicians simultaneously
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check
