Description

HVAC/R Service Technician — $35–$50/hr DOE

Peoria, AZ | Valley-Wide Service Area | Full-Time

We are an established HVAC/R service company based in Peoria, Arizona, serving commercial and residential customers throughout the Phoenix Valley.

We are looking for an experienced HVAC/R Service Technician with a strong background in air-conditioning service and troubleshooting.

Our ideal candidate has approximately 3–5+ years of field experience, is comfortable diagnosing A/C equipment, understands electrical and refrigeration fundamentals, and wants to continue expanding their skills into commercial refrigeration and ice machines.

Pay

$35.00–$50.00 per hour, depending on experience, knowledge, and demonstrated ability

Starting pay is based on actual field experience and troubleshooting skills.

Wage review after 90 days based on field performance and ability.

We Are Willing to Train the Right Technician

Experience with commercial refrigeration, walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, and commercial ice machines is a definite plus, but you do not need to be an expert in every type of equipment we service.

If you already have a good understanding of:

A/C electrical troubleshooting

Refrigeration fundamentals
Superheat and subcooling
Airflow
Compressors, motors, contactors, capacitors, relays, and controls
Refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, and leak detection
Proper use of meters, gauges, and diagnostic tools

…and you have the desire and ability to learn additional commercial refrigeration equipment, we are willing to work with and train the right person.

Equipment We Service

Our technicians work on a variety of equipment, including:

Commercial package and split A/C systems up to approximately 10 tons
Residential air-conditioning systems
Walk-in coolers and freezers
Reach-in coolers and freezers
Commercial ice machines
Commercial refrigeration systems
Preventive maintenance
Residential A/C repairs and equipment replacement

You do not need to walk in knowing everything about every piece of equipment listed above.

We are looking for someone who already understands HVAC service and troubleshooting and has the ability and interest to continue learning.

You are not expected to provide your own service truck or purchase your own tools. We provide what you need to perform the job.

We Are Service Technicians — Not Salesmen

No sales quotas.

Our technicians are not expected to turn service calls into sales presentations.

We believe in diagnosing equipment correctly, explaining the problem honestly, making the proper repair, and taking care of the customer.

If equipment can reasonably be repaired, we repair it.

If replacement makes more sense, we explain why.

We are looking for a technician who takes pride in fixing equipment and solving problems.

What We're Looking For

We would like someone who:

Has approximately 3–5 years or more HVAC field experience

Is comfortable troubleshooting A/C equipment
Has a solid understanding of electrical and refrigeration fundamentals
Can perform service calls independently on equipment they are familiar with
Is willing to ask questions and learn when working on unfamiliar equipment
Takes pride in diagnosing problems correctly
Communicates professionally with customers
Keeps accurate service records
Takes care of the company truck, tools, and equipment
Is dependable and has a good work ethic
Wants to continue developing as an HVAC/R technician

Commercial refrigeration and ice-machine experience is preferred, but we are willing to provide additional training to a qualified HVAC service technician.

EPA certification and a clean driving record are required.

If you are a solid HVAC technician looking for an opportunity to expand your commercial refrigeration knowledge while working for a company focused on service rather than sales, we'd like to hear from you.
