HV/LV Electricians, PMs, Project Engineers, & Esti

Description

Sacramento area based, family owned, commercial electrical contracting company looking to hire experienced HV/LV Electricians, PMs, & Estimators. We have experienced tremendous grown over the past few years, and are looking to add to our amazing team:

HV/LV Electricians (Prevailing Wage):

  • Valid CA State Certified Journeyman Card (Please note Certification Number while applying)
  • Must have electrical skills, including, but not limited to; plan reading, layout, various conduit bending, wire pulling, and ability to follow directions
  • Motivated, reliable and self-starters
  • Must have reliable transportation and your own hand tools
  • Excellent in project management skills, detail-oriented, and productive work output
  • Highly competent in trouble shooting and technical skills
  • Prior experience working on Prevailing Wage projects preferred (schools, military bases, police stations, etc.)
  • Skilled & Trained Apprenticeship graduates preferred (Please note in resume)
Electrical Project Managers:
  • Build external relationships that promote project success; with General Contractors and/or Project Owners, Subcontractors and Vendors, and other trade Contractors.
  • Oversee and direct electrical construction projects from conception to completion and assume full leadership of position:
  • Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, manpower acquisition, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the projects.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards
  • Evaluate the contractual scope of work. Review the project in-depth. Plan, organize and staff key project positions
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client, superintendents, tier subcontractors and all others to coordinate scheduling activities and facilitate successful construction activities
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with jobsite electrical, controls and safety regulations
  • Coordinate and provide clear and concise direction to lead foreman, crews and subcontractors and review work progress on daily basis to maximize efficiency and control costs
  • Ensure quality electrical construction standards and the use of proper techniques
  • Attend job progress meetings as required. Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, general contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Manage the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials and equipment to be procured for projects
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance, deadlines and close out
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Negotiate and actively pursue work through RFIs, PCOs, Change Orders and track completion and profitability
Project Engineers:
  • Experience drafting with AutoCAD or Revit is a huge plus
  • Project Administration and assistance to Project Managers and Foreman
  • Create manage and track submittals in Procore
  • Upload plans and track changes in Procore
  • Write and track RFI in Procore
  • Upload specifications and track changes in Procore
  • Type up panel schedules
  • Fill out order forms for Phenolic Tags from plans
  • Fill in Copper Feeder order forms from One-line drawings
  • Count lights and devices
  • Attend meetings with clients, and work with other personnel, including Project Managers, Estimators, Electrical Supervisors and Foreman
  • Successful communications with clients, department members, Electrical Superintendents and Foremen, and other employees
Project Estimators:
  • Review and evaluate project plans and specifications, bid documents, and other relevant project documents to identify what is needed for a project and to create a bid proposal.
  • Calculate the cost of electrical construction based on reviewing and evaluating available documents.
  • Analyze project for value engineering options while taking into account specific job conditions that may affect labor and material to be purchased and installed.
  • Identify any inconsistent issues, conflicts, and other problems in the bid documents.
  • Identify strategies to create bid advantages.
  • Anticipate potential problems and devise solutions proactively.
  • Prepare "RFI" questions.
  • Request material and equipment quotes from vendors and equipment suppliers.
  • Reviews quotes to confirm adherence to quote requests and accuracy of quotes received.
  • Develops and maintains a positive relationship with vendors.
  • Assist in preparing budget pricing.
  • Attend estimating/sales meetings, and project meetings to discuss bid status, and present/resolve issues.
  • May perform job walks to ensure that any field conditions have been observed that may affect the cons
