ICC STRUCTURAL STEEL & WELDING INSPECTOR - LAS VEGAS

Geotechnical & Environmental Services (GES) is seeking to an experienced steel and welding inspector to join our team in Southern Nevada.

What You'll Do:

Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welded joints and assemblies.
Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and related documentation.
Monitor welding activities on-site and in fabrication shops to ensure proper procedures are followed.
Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) such as dye penetrant, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic testing (if qualified).
Document inspection results using photographs, inspection reports, and deficiency logs.
Identify and report welding defects or non-conformities; verify corrective actions as necessary.
Participate in pre-construction and progress meetings to provide technical guidance.
Interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols to verify fabrication details.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, including AWS, ASME, AISC, and project-specific criteria.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience inspecting bridge, pipeline, or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or AISC Quality Certification Program.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is an asset.
ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I
NICET certification in Construction Materials Testing (Soils, Concrete, or Asphalt)
Nuclear Gauge Safety Training
Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and codes (IBC, ACI, ASTM, etc.).
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Able to lift 50lbs without assistance.
Additional NDT Level II certifications (PT, MT, UT, RT) a plus.
