Industrial Maintenance Technician - Cedar Park, Texas

TMD Staffing is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility systems, machinery, and equipment.

The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, dependable, able to work independently, and capable of responding efficiently to routine maintenance needs and unexpected equipment issues.

Light electrical and welding experience is preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems.
Diagnose mechanical problems and complete repairs in a timely manner.
Respond to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.
Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and potential safety concerns.
Repair or replace bearings, belts, motors, pumps, valves, and other mechanical components.
Perform general facility maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, and repairs.
Assist with basic electrical repairs within authorized limits.
Perform minor welding and fabrication repairs when qualified.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance machinery.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts usage, and work orders.
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Coordinate with supervisors, production employees, contractors, and vendors as needed.
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Previous industrial, commercial, manufacturing, or facility maintenance experience preferred.
General knowledge of mechanical equipment and maintenance practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and work instructions.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and work-order systems.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Reliable attendance and dependable work history.
Preferred Qualifications

Light electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.

Familiarity with motors, relays, switches, sensors, and basic control circuits.
Welding and basic metal fabrication experience.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
OSHA, electrical safety, welding, forklift, or other relevant certifications.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 90 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work from ladders or elevated platforms when properly trained.
Ability to work around machinery, noise, dust, temperature changes, and other typical maintenance conditions.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
