Installation & Repair Technician – Fiber & Coax Contractors TRAVEL

We are seeking a dependable Installation & Repair (I&R) Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), coaxial cable, internet, TV, and phone services at residential client locations. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety conscious, provides excellent customer service, strong troubleshooting skills, works safely, and is flexible to travel to different job locations as needed including other states.
• Reliable personal transportation and the ability to provide your own tools required to perform telecommunications installation and repair work.
Key Responsibilities

• Install and repair fiber optic, coaxial, and copper telecommunications systems.
• Install and configure internet, Wi-Fi, TV, phone, ONT, modem, and related equipment.
• Test and troubleshooting signal loss, damaged cables, connectivity issues, and faulty equipment.
• Perform fiber and coax testing, cable termination, and equipment replacement.
• Follow all company, OSHA, and industry safety requirements.
• Safely use ladders, hand tools, test equipment, and PPE.
• Explain services and equipment to customers and resolve service concerns professionally.
• Complete work orders, service documentation, and inventory records accurately.
• Travel to various customers and job locations as required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of telecommunications, cable, fiber, electrical, or field-service experience preferred.
• FTTH, fiber optic, coax, broadband, or cable experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 75–90 lbs, climb ladders, and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and safely perform physically demanding tasks.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel to different service areas, other states, and job sites as needed.
