Mid-Atlantic Entry Systems, Inc., a perimeter security company, is excited to add a full-time Installation Technician to our MAES Team.

We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic who are not afraid to work hard.
Installation Technicians will work closely with a Project Superintendent, installing gate operators, access-control equipment, and other perimeter-security equipment.

We typically work four 10-hour days per week, with Fridays dependent on the needs of the company.
Some overtime and travel are required.
We are proud to offer in-house job training for all our team members.

The Installation Technician is responsible for leading and executing the installation of gate systems, access-control equipment, and other related technologies.
This role combines technical expertise, hands-on work, and teamwork to ensure installations meet company standards and customer expectations.
The Installation Technician works closely with Project Superintendents, team members, and customers to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Install and program gate operators, access-control systems, and related equipment.
Perform tasks such as trenching, wire pulling, concrete work, welding, and saw cutting.
Work with low-voltage circuits, electrical wiring, and panels.
Collaborate with team members to ensure project milestones are met.
Communicate with customers to provide updates and address questions or concerns.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to projects.
Follow company safety guidelines and promote a safe work environment.
Perform additional duties as needed to support operational goals.
Responsibilities and Job Tasks

Proper use of all types of power tools.

Proper termination of low- and high-voltage circuits.
Installation of gate motors, safety devices, and traffic loops.
Installation of access-control equipment such as keypads, card readers, and telephone-entry systems.
Must be organized and able to handle multiple priorities.
Must be presentable and possess the ability to speak with customers.
Be responsible for maintaining your own equipment.
Be able to work overtime and participate in an on-call program for emergency service calls.
Follow all safety procedures at all times.

Technical proficiency in installing and programming equipment.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and related construction tasks.

Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Qualifications

Mechanical background is a must.

Ability to weld is a plus.
Some knowledge of high-voltage circuitry.
Knowledge of low-voltage controls is a plus.
Good people skills, communication skills, time-management, and organizational skills.
Positive and progressive attitude; quality- and customer-service-oriented.
Ability to work remotely with little on-site supervision.
Familiarity with industry tools and proficiency with hand tools and power equipment.
Reliable transportation.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for insurability.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
Physical Demands / Work Environment

Strength and ability to perform stooping, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing.
Adequate hearing and depth perception.
Ability to lift 70–100 pounds.
Work outdoors in different climate conditions.
Occasional overnight and weekend work.
