EXPERIENCED CONCRETE LABORERS – WALLS & FLATWORK
$28–$33/HR + PTO + PAID HOLIDAY + SIMPLE IRA

We're a residential concrete contractor looking to add 2–3 **experienced** Concrete Laborers to our crew in the Madison/Dane County area. Will consider hiring someone looking to get into the trade with pay reflecting the experience trade off.

We're specifically looking for:

• Concrete Wall Laborer – experience with poured concrete walls
• Concrete Flatwork Laborer – experience with residential flatwork

**If you have experience in both, even better!**

Our work is primarily residential, including high-end homes, with occasional small commercial projects. We take pride in doing quality work and are (ideally) looking for experienced people who already understand concrete and can contribute to the crew from day one.

CONCRETE WALL POSITION

We're looking for someone with hands-on experience doing poured concrete foundation walls.

Experience should include some or all of the following:

• Setting and stripping concrete wall forms
• Footings and foundations
• Layout and elevations
• Installing rebar
• Pouring and vibrating concrete
• Setting embeds, anchor bolts and openings
• Working safely and efficiently with wall forms
• Jobsite setup and cleanup

Experience with aluminum wall-form systems and operating construction equipment is a plus.

FLATWORK POSITION

We're also looking for an experienced residential flatwork laborer.

Experience should include some or all of the following:

• Preparing and grading sub-base
• Setting forms and establishing elevations/pitch
• Installing reinforcement
• Pouring and placing concrete
• Screeding
• Bull floating and hand floating
• Edging and jointing
• Broom finishes
• Saw cutting
• Removing forms and jobsite cleanup

Experience with driveways, garage floors, basement floors, sidewalks, patios and other residential flatwork is preferred.

We're especially interested in someone who can do more than simply place concrete. If you understand the entire flatwork process and can help take a project from prep through finished concrete, we want to talk to you.

• Understand the importance of getting things right before the concrete arrives

• Have reliable transportation
• Work well as part of a crew
• Take care of equipment and respect the jobsite

Because much of our work is on custom, high-end homes, attention to detail matters. We expect our crews to maintain clean, organized jobsites and work professionally around homeowners, builders and other trades.

PAY: $28–$33/HOUR

Starting pay depends on experience, demonstrated ability and benefits needed.

We're looking to hire at least two people — one experienced in walls and one experienced in flatwork. We would consider adding a third person for the right candidate.
