Position Overview

AspireOn Networks is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Field Technician to support a growing client base. This role serves as the primary onsite technical resource responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications and networking systems for business customers.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with structured cabling, VoIP systems, wireless networking, and security cameras, along with strong customer service and communication skills. This position offers opportunities for career growth and leadership as the company expands.

Key Responsibilities

Field Service & Technical Support - Perform onsite installations, service calls, and technical support - Troubleshoot VoIP systems, network equipment, and connectivity issues - Conduct diagnostics and escalate issues when needed
Structured Cabling - Install and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 cabling - Set up patch panels, racks, and wall plates - Test, label, and document all cabling installations

VoIP System Installation - Install and configure VoIP phone systems and devices - Support provisioning, number porting, and troubleshooting call quality

Network & Wireless Setup - Install and configure routers, switches, and access points - Support WiFi deployments and basic network optimization

Security Camera Installation - Install and configure IP camera systems and NVRs - Provide basic customer training for system use

Customer Service - Represent AspireOn Networks professionally onsite - Communicate clearly with clients and document completed work - Identify opportunities for additional services

Additional Duties - Assist with project planning and preparation - Maintain tools and equipment - Support documentation and train junior technicians

Qualifications

Required: - Experience with structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) - Basic networking knowledge - Experience with VoIP or IP-based systems - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Ability to work independently in field environments - Valid driver’s license with a clean record

Preferred Certifications: - CompTIA Network+ - Cisco CCNA - Structured cabling or low-voltage certification

Technical Skills: - VoIP installation and troubleshooting - Wireless networking - IP camera systems - Router and switch configuration - Microsoft Windows and Office
