JLG FORKLIFT / EQUIPMENT MECHANIC – FULL-TIME PERMANENT

APEX Construction Systems is looking for an experienced JLG Equipment Mechanic to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

We are looking for a dependable, hands-on mechanic who can diagnose, maintain, and repair JLG forklifts and equipment and keep our equipment operating safely and reliably.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and operational problems with JLG equipment
Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and routine service
Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine the proper repair
Inspect equipment and identify worn, damaged, or unsafe components
Perform hydraulic repairs and troubleshooting
Perform electrical and electrical-system diagnostics
Maintain engines, transmissions, drive systems, brakes, steering, and other mechanical components
Complete routine maintenance and inspections
Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used
Communicate equipment issues and repair needs to management
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer service requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience working on JLG forklifts, lifts, or similar heavy equipment
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
Ability to read and understand service manuals and schematics
Ability to work independently and identify problems without constant supervision
Reliable, dependable, and safety-minded
Own basic mechanic hand tools
Valid driver's license
Construction equipment, forklift, diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment experience is a plus

JLG experience is strongly preferred, but we will consider a mechanically skilled candidate with experience working on comparable equipment.
