The Finished Edge is a licensed residential carpentry contractor. We are seeking a skilled Journey-Level Carpenter with strong experience in framing, finish carpentry, and full cabinetry installation. This is not an apprentice position and not a foreman role. You must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision and producing clean, professional work.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, shows up prepared, and understands how jobsites operate.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Finish carpentry: doors, trim, casing, base, crown, paneling, built-ins
  • Full cabinetry installation (kitchens, vanities, custom millwork)
  • Reading plans and executing work accurately
  • Laying out work using control lines and verified dimensions
  • Identifying field issues and resolving them professionally
  • Protecting finished work and maintaining a clean jobsite
  • Completing punch-list and detail work to close out projects properly
Cabinet Installation Experience Required

You must be experienced in:

  • Reviewing cabinet drawings and verifying field measurements
  • Laying out cabinet runs accurately
  • Installing base, wall, and tall cabinets plumb, level, and secure
  • Scribing fillers and panels cleanly to uneven walls/floors
  • Setting appliances openings correctly
  • Installing and adjusting hinges, drawer slides, and hardware
  • Coordinating with plumbers, electricians, countertop installers
  • Final adjustments and finish protection
If you cannot independently install a full kitchen correctly, this is not the position for you.

  • Strong understanding of plans and shop drawings
  • Professional-grade tool set
  • Reliable transportation
