Journeyman Carpenter for High-End Residential Remodeling

We're a growing design-build residential remodeling company based in Sacramento looking for an experienced Journeyman who wants more than just another construction job.

What You'll Do

• Lead day-to-day work on residential remodeling projects.
• Perform high-quality rough and finish carpentry.
• Oversee and mentor an apprentice.
• Read and interpret construction plans.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional.
• Solve problems while maintaining high-quality standards.

What We're Looking For

• Strong residential remodeling and carpentry experience.
• Ability to work independently and lead by example.
• Excellent communication with homeowners and teammates.
• Someone who takes ownership of mistakes and works to solve them.
• Curious, reliable, kind, and always willing to learn.
• Comfortable switching between different trades and project types.

Bonus Skills

• Residential plumbing (highly valued)
• Custom cabinetry or built-ins (highly valued)
• Residential electrical
• High-performance building knowledge
• Experience with project management software and comfortable with technology

Requirements

• 5+ years of residential remodeling experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation is a must (truck preferred but not required).
• General construction tools.
• Ability to read plans.
• Valid California driver's license.

Compensation & Benefits

• $32-40/hour depending on experience.
• One week paid sick leave.
• Six paid holidays.
• Gas reimbursement for travel time during the work day.
• Flexibility with advanced notice.
