Peninsula Electric Corp. (PEC) is seeking an experienced, motivated, and licensed Journeyman Electrician (02 Residential License Required) to join our growing team.
This is not an entry-level role and not a light-duty position. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, lead by example, make sound field decisions, maintain exceptional customer communication, and deliver quality workmanship every day.

Position Summary
The Journeyman Electrician serves as a field leader responsible for performing electrical work, directing apprentices and crew members, maintaining job productivity, ensuring quality installation practices, and representing Peninsula Electric professionally at every jobsite.
This position requires hands-on electrical work in a variety of environments including residential service work, remodels, upgrades, installations, troubleshooting, underground work, and new construction support.
The ideal candidate is confident, adaptable, physically capable, customer-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining communication with office staff and leadership.

Required Qualifications
- Active Washington State Journeyman 02 Electrical License (Required)
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License
- Clean driving record (required for company vehicle eligibility)
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check
- Must provide:
o Three (3) personal references
- References will be contacted as part of the hiring process
- Minimum experience sufficient to independently perform residential electrical work and supervise apprentices
- Ability to read and interpret:
o Specifications
o Load calculations
o Technical drawings
o Manufacturer installation requirements

o NEC standards
o Washington State electrical requirements
o Safe electrical work practices

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership & Crew Management
- Lead and supervise apprentices and supporting crew members
- Train and mentor apprentices in safe and proper installation practices
- Delegate work appropriately while maintaining productivity
- Ensure work quality and adherence to code requirements
- Communicate daily progress, concerns, and job updates with office staff
- Maintain jobsite professionalism and accountability
- Perform residential electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Install and terminate:
o Breakers
o Service equipment
o Lighting systems
o Branch circuits
o Receptacles
o Dedicated circuits
o Equipment connections
- Pull, route, support, and terminate electrical wiring
- Install conduit and associated raceway systems
- Diagnose electrical issues and determine corrective action
- Read and apply electrical schematics and plans
- Complete work in accordance with current NEC and local code requirements
- Verify completed work meets PEC quality standards
This position requires regular physical labor and work in active construction and residential environments.
Employees must be able to:
- Work in confined spaces including crawlspaces
- Work in attics and elevated work areas
- Pull wire and perform repetitive overhead work
- Assist with trenching and underground preparation
- Load, unload, transport, and organize materials
- Carry tools and equipment throughout active jobsites
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Climb ladders and work at varying heights
- Bend, kneel, squat, crawl, push, and pull throughout the workday
