JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN

Commercial Service & Small Projects | Austin, TX

We are looking for a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our commercial service team in the Austin area.
This is not a large-project construction position. Our work consists primarily of commercial service calls, troubleshooting, repairs, tenant improvements, and smaller electrical projects.

We're looking for a professional electrician who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable taking ownership of a job from the initial service call through completion.

THE POSITION

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will work independently on commercial electrical service and small-project work throughout the Austin area.
Typical work may include:
Commercial electrical troubleshooting and repairs
Service calls and preventative maintenance
Tenant improvements and small remodels
Panel and disconnect installations
Lighting and lighting controls
Electrical modifications and additions
Diagnosing electrical problems and determining the appropriate repair
Reading plans, one-lines, and electrical diagrams

COMPANY TRUCK — TAKE IT HOME

Company work truck provided and available to take home.
You'll have the ability to leave from home and travel directly to your assigned service calls and projects rather than reporting to a shop every morning.
We provide the vehicle necessary to perform your work, allowing you to operate efficiently and professionally in the field.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for an electrician who:
Holds a current Journeyman Electrician license
Has solid commercial electrical experience
Is confident troubleshooting electrical systems
Can read and understand commercial electrical plans and one-lines
Is proficient with conduit installation and bending
Can work independently and make sound decisions in the field
Understands the NEC and follows safe work practices
Communicates professionally with customers and other contractors
Takes pride in quality workmanship
Is dependable, organized, and punctual
Has a valid driver's license and good driving record

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You don't need someone standing over your shoulder telling you what to do.
You should be able to show up at a commercial property, assess the problem, determine what needs to be done, communicate the solution, and complete the work correctly.
If you're an experienced journeyman who enjoys service work, troubleshooting, smaller projects, and working independently, we'd like to hear from you.
