Journeyman Electrician

Description

Better Built Electric is looking for a journeyman electrician who shows up ready, works hard, and wants to grow into a key role on a solid crew.

This is not a “clock in and coast” position. We’re building a team of people who take pride in their work, hold a high standard, and want to be part of something that’s getting better every job.

If you’re dependable, willing to learn, and can put in a full day without being chased around, you’ll fit here.

What You’ll Be Doing

Commercial electrical work (hotels, retail, tenant upfits, service work)

Running conduit, installing lighting, and assisting with layouts

Troubleshooting basic issues and learning advanced diagnostics

Reading prints and learning how to apply code on real jobs

Working alongside and eventually helping guide apprentices

What We’re Looking For

Shows up early, prepared, and ready to work

Reliable and follows through—no disappearing mid-project

Takes ownership of mistakes and fixes them without excuses

Willing to learn and improve every day

Can work clean, safe, and organized

Communicates clearly with the crew and jobsite leadership

Team player—no ego, no drama

Requirements

Reliable vehicle (non-negotiable)

Willingness to travel and work out of town when needed

Basic electrical experience preferred, but not required if you’re willing to learn fast

What You’ll Get

Hands-on training—I will personally teach you what I know

Opportunity to grow into a lead role and help shape the crew

Consistent commercial work

A company that values execution, quality, and work ethic over paperwork

If you want a place where your work actually matters—and where you can grow into a core part of the company—this is it.

We are a commercial‑focused electrical contractor built around one simple idea: do clean, reliable work for serious clients and stand behind it every time.

We handle projects for large hotel chains, national retail brands, and well‑known commercial property groups—companies that expect professional crews, tight schedules, and zero drama on site. Our work ranges from new builds and tenant improvements to service and upgrades in occupied spaces, so our electricians see real‑world challenges, not just textbook installs.

We keep our standards high: neat conduit, organized panels, labeled circuits, and code‑compliant installs that look as good as they perform. Safety and presentation matter here, because we’re often working in places where the client’s customers, guests, and executives will see our work and our people.

Culture‑wise, we’re small enough that every good hire matters and big enough to offer steady commercial work. We value execution over credentials, and we invest in people who show up, learn fast, and take pride in doing the job the right way. The goal is to build a core team of electricians who can grow with the company and become the foundation for future crews.
