Tired of data center travel and cookie-cutter tract home work? We're a growing, specialized electrical contractor looking for a strong-bodied, quick-thinking journeyman who wants in on the ground floor of something new: the shift happening in our electrical system and in EV charging. This is in-town work. You come home at night. If you've got a family, like a healthy routine, or are getting bored with repetition, this may be the shop for you. Because we're a small, agile company, you'll wear a few hats. Your main focus is designing, Installing, and commissioning residential Level 2 EV charging systems. We also need strength in panel and service upgrades, occasional service work, and troubleshooting. You'll work independently on-site and talk with customers directly, so we need someone sharp, clean presenting, good with people, and a very positive attitude.

What you'll do

EV charger installs: Instation and commissioning of residential Level 2 chargers, including layout, conduit routing, wire pulling, and final connections
Panel and service upgrades: Evaluate existing electrical service, calculate loads, and perform panel and service upgrades, and sub-panel installs to support EV charging
Service and troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair customers problems with confidence, be able to communicate the problem to customers, and handle some service work.
Site evaluation: Assess power availability, charger placement, and materials needed, and help with estimating
Permitting and compliance: Work to NEC, Oregon specialty code, and utility requirements to get installs ready for inspection
Customer experience: Walk customers through the install, explain how their charger works, help with Wi-Fi and app setup, and keep a clean, professional workspace

What you'll need:

Oregon journeyman card, general or residential (four year, or residential-equivalent)
Commercial experience is a nice bonus
EV charging experience is a plus but not necessary. Training will be provided.
Solid EMT bending and conduit skills
Skilled at fishing wire through existing structures with minimal damage, backed by good knowledge of building construction and how houses are put together.
Able to read and interpret plans, schematics, and single-line diagrams
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Clean driving record
