Journeyman Electrician – Travel Position (Florida)

Position Summary

GMEA Electrical Services is actively hiring a Journeyman Electrician to support commercial and industrial electrical construction projects throughout Florida and nationwide. This role requires a highly skilled electrician who can work independently, lead crews when needed, and serve as a key resource for field leadership while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality.

Candidates should be comfortable working on large-scale projects and traveling wherever company projects require.

Responsibilities:
-Install electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.
-Lead by example and help drive jobsite productivity.
-Mentor apprentices and assist in developing field personnel.
-Coordinate work activities with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen.
-Assist with crew leadership, task delegation, and project execution.
-Review plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure proper installation.
-Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company standards.
-Identify potential issues and communicate solutions to project leadership.
-Support successful project completion through teamwork and accountability.
-Travel throughout Florida and other states as project needs require.

Qualifications
-Active Journeyman Electrician license.
-5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
-Experience working on large commercial, warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, retail, or similar projects.
-Strong communication and leadership abilities.
-Proven ability to motivate team members and maintain a positive work environment.
-Ability to work directly with Project Managers and Superintendents.
-OSHA certification preferred.
-Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
