We are looking for skilled and dependable Journeyman Structural Steel Fitters/Welders to join our growing team in South Pierce County. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals who take pride in precision work and want to contribute to complex structural and bridge fabrication projects.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently while meeting demanding production schedules.

What You’ll Do

• Fabricate structural steel components such as:
• Columns, beams, stairs, and handrails
• Heavy bridge-building elements
• Read and interpret complex structural and bridge blueprints
• Perform accurate layout, measuring, positioning, and fitting of components
• Execute high-quality welds in compliance with structural and bridge code requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work a 4-day, 10-hour schedule with required overtime to meet deadlines

What You Bring

• Minimum 5 years of structural steel fabrication experience (bridge work preferred)
• Strong proficiency in:

o Blueprint reading
o Welding symbols and layout techniques

• Ability to pass a WABO 3G weld certification (required upon hire)
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow detailed instructions
• Willingness to work extended hours and overtime as needed

• Competitive Pay: $24.00 – $37.00/hour (DOE)
