Land Steward Opportunity – Whidbey Island

We're seeking a reliable, self-motivated land steward (individual or couple) to help care for our peaceful 25+ acre property on beautiful Whidbey Island.
Our slice of paradise includes forests, walking trails, gardens, a greenhouse, fruit trees, pastures, horses, chickens, cats, and our friendly dog, Mojo. We're also creating a retreat space where guests can unplug, reconnect with nature and enjoy the tranquility of the property. If you're looking for a peaceful place where your work has a meaningful impact, this could be a great fit.

What You'll Help With:

Responsibilities will vary with the seasons and may include:

• Gardening and land care
• Caring for horses, chickens, cats, and our dog as needed
• Basic property maintenance: mowing, weeding, pruning, planting, splitting wood, and maintaining trails
• Handle occasional handyman tasks and small repairs
• Cleaning and maintaining our Airbnb between guests

No one is expected to be an expert in everything. We're looking for someone who enjoys a variety of projects and is willing to learn and grow with us!

About the Property & Additional Info
We are a couple at retirement age looking for someone who will help us care for everything we've built and treat it with the same love and respect that we do.

We're also developing a retreat Airbnb where guests can experience quiet time in nature, wander wooded trails and gardens, enjoy hydrotherapy or to spend time in our art studio. It’s a place to slow down, unplug, and make space for self-care, creativity, and renewal.

If the right caretaker is an artist or has a wellness-based practice, e.g.: massage therapy, we also have a dedicated studio space that may be available for occasional professional use.

There is also potential to board a horse.

Living Accommodations

You'll live in a newly-built tiny house nestled in the forest featuring:

• One bedroom
• Washer and dryer
• Composting toilet
• Private setting surrounded by nature and space for gardening

Compensation
We're flexible and looking for the perfect match. This is a part-time position and compensation may include a combination of housing credits, hourly pay, and other mutually beneficial arrangements depending on circumstances, experience and responsibilities.
