Landscape Irrigation / Sprinkler Repair Technician

We have a large base of loyal customers who regularly use our services and a great team of 40 landscape professionals in 4 different divisions doing service work, landscape maintenance, landscape design/build and enhancement work.

• Excellent Base Pay: Our starting pay is $26.00-$28.00 per hour, with overtime at $39-$42 per hour and plenty of opportunities for overtime from March-End of November

Responsibilities:

• Diagnostics and repair of sprinkler system components: broken pipes and funny pipe; leaks; sprinkler heads and nozzles; wiring; controller issues; moving sprinkler heads to better locations, etc.
• Extend existing systems: add pipe, sprinkler heads, nozzles & fittings to existing zones; add to drip systems; add new zones to existing sprinkler systems; upgrade existing sprinkler heads; etc.
• Diagnostics and repair to existing Low-Voltage Outdoor Lighting Systems: Diagnose and repair/replace transformer and wiring; add or replace existing Outdoor Lighting fixtures; replace lamps on existing fixtures; clean and re-aim existing Outdoor Lighting fixtures; etc.
• Replace pumps on existing water features
• Use phone app for calender/schedule, communication with customers, create quotes and create invoices when a service call is completed.
• Communicate with the office regularly on status of service calls, schedule, call-backs when needed, customer requests, etc.
• Refill van with parts from shop or supplier weekly
• Wire tracking; install conduits/sleeves underneath sidewalks; occasional trenching with our trenchers; etc.

Qualifications:

• Prefer technician who is already experienced with Irrigation System diagnostics and repairs. But will train the right candidate with general landscape experience, if necessary.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record for last 3 years.
• Ability to do digging, clean out trenches, operate a trencher machine, cut tree roots, operate chainsaw and sawzall, etc.
• Very Dependable and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Positive attitude and willingness to take direction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Bi-Lingual Spanish is also a plus, but not required.

Position is Full Time with 40+ hours per week from March 1st to Dec. 1st. Winter hours are limited to demand but hours are slow during December, January and February.
