Landscaping Technician

Description

As a Lawncare Specialist, you will be responsible for providing routine lawn and landscape maintenance services as part of 2-5 employee crew to ensure client properties remain healthy, attractive, and well maintained. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and understands the importance of consistent service in maintaining long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine lawn care services including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing
Maintain turf health across residential, commercial, or HOA properties
Assist with seasonal services such as fertilization, aeration, dethatching, overseeding, and cleanups
Identify turf issues including weeds, pests, disease, or irrigation problems and report findings to supervisors
Safely operate and maintain lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and spreaders
Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas and vehicles
Follow all safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and company policies
Communicate effectively with crew leaders and team members
Represent the company professionally when working on client properties
Cutting turf using a variety of landscaping tools and equipment in a safe manner
Properly weeding client sites by hand or by utilizing landscape equipment.
Planting, grooming and maintaining plant material.
Performing site cleanup duties which includes but is not limited to clearing and disposing of trash and organic material
Maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude with internal and external clients.
Performing other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1–3 years of experience in lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance
Basic understanding of turf maintenance practices and equipment
Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Holds or can obtain a round-up permit upon hire
Reliable transportation
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in commercial or multi-site landscape maintenance
Knowledge of turfgrass varieties and seasonal lawn care practices
Experience with fertilization programs or integrated pest management (IPM)
Familiarity with irrigation systems and basic troubleshooting
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills (Preferred)
Strong work ethic and pride in appearance and results
Interest in career growth within lawn care, crew leadership, or landscape operations
Valid Florida Driver’s License and the ability to pass an MVR check
