Landscaper / Grounds Technician / Handyman

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Groundskeeper/Landscaper/Handyman to maintain the appearance, health, and safety of our grounds and outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate takes pride in well-kept landscapes, works well independently, and handles the full range of seasonal grounds care — from routine mowing and planting to irrigation, cleanup, and minor outdoor repairs. Candidates should also being capable of handling the full range of day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks. This is a hands-on, outdoor role for someone who enjoys physical work and visible results.

Key Responsibilities

Lawn & Landscape Care
---
Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns and turf areas
Prune, trim, and shape shrubs, hedges, and trees within reach
Plant and maintain flower beds, gardens, trees, and shrubs
Apply mulch, fertilizer, and soil treatments as needed
Weed, rake, and maintain beds, borders, and natural areas
Maintenance & Upkeep

Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers, etc.)
Inspect, adjust, and perform minor repairs on irrigation/sprinkler systems
Remove leaves, debris, and litter; keep walkways, drives, and entrances clean
Maintain hardscape areas (paths, patios, fences, retaining walls) and report larger repair needs
Handle seasonal tasks: leaf removal, storm cleanup, and seasonal plantings
General Duties

Monitor grounds for safety hazards, drainage issues, pests, or plant disease
Keep tools and equipment clean, sharp, and in good working order
Manage supplies and notify supervisor when materials need reordering
Follow safe handling procedures for equipment, chemicals, and fertilizers
Maintain a clean, organized storage and work area

Required Qualifications

-Prior experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field
-Working knowledge of lawn care, plants, and basic horticulture
-Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and hand tools
-Reliable, self-directed, and able to work with minimal supervision
-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
-Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications
------
5+ years of combined general repair & landscaping experience
Knowledge of fertilizer, herbicide, and pesticide application
Familiarity with regional plants, grasses, and seasonal care
Basic equipment repair skills
Experience maintaining larger or multiple properties
