Landscaping & Irrigation Lead – Hands-On Working Lead

Aro Homes builds well-designed, precision-engineered homes faster and with less waste than traditional construction. We’re a growing, investor-backed company, and we’re looking for a skilled landscaping and irrigation pro to join our Quality & Warranty team.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll do the work yourself and lead small crews of temp workers on landscape and irrigation installs, repairs, and warranty fixes on our new homes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Install landscaping on new home sites: soil prep, grading for drainage, plants, trees, sod, mulch, and decorative rock per plan
Install and repair irrigation: drip and spray lines, valves, backflow devices, controllers, and tie-ins to the home’s water supply
Program and adjust controllers for water efficiency
Diagnose and fix warranty issues like leaks, poor coverage, controller faults, drainage problems, and dead plants
Lead small crews: assign daily tasks, show proper technique, and keep everyone safe and productive
Help with fencing, gates, retaining walls, pavers, edging, walkways, and small concrete pours
Support general site work like digging, trenching, grading, and cleanup

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of hands-on residential landscaping and irrigation experience, OR 2+ years of general home construction experience working independently
• Solid knowledge of drip and spray systems, valves, controllers, and PVC/poly pipe
• Able to read basic landscape and irrigation plans and take accurate measurements
• Comfortable with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
• Reliable transportation to travel between job sites during the day
• Able to lift 50 lbs and do physical outdoor work in all weather

BONUS POINTS

• Experience with drought-tolerant and California native plants
• Familiarity with MWELO and smart irrigation controllers
• QWEL or Irrigation Association certification is a plus
• Experience running crews or temp labor
• Fencing, retaining wall, hardscape, or concrete experience
• Warranty or post-construction repair work
