L&M Auto Repair is looking for a high-level Lead Automotive Technician who wants to make excellent money, stay busy, and work alongside other strong technicians.

We've been serving Wichita since 1967 and have built a reputation for honest inspections, quality repairs, and taking care of customers the right way. Our customer retention is strong, our car count is high, and we stay busy year-round.

Most importantly:

You are not replacing someone.

We are growing, expanding into a new facility, and adding additional high-level technicians to our team.

Monday-Friday only. No weekends. Ever.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is not a shop where you'll spend half the day waiting for work.

We have a consistent flow of vehicles, established processes, experienced advisors, and customers who trust our recommendations.

PAY

$35–$45+/HR+ depending on experience, skill level, certifications, and productivity.

Flat Rate with performance-based bonus opportunities for highly productive technicians.
If you can consistently hit more than 8 hours a day, you qualify for our BONUS system.

Our compensation plan is designed to reward technicians who consistently perform at a high level.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently and accurately
  • Handle advanced drivability, electrical, and mechanical concerns
  • Lead by example and help support other technicians when needed
  • Perform thorough vehicle inspections
  • Communicate findings clearly through digital inspections
  • Help maintain a productive and professional shop culture
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Master Technician or A-Level experience
  • Strong diagnostic abilities, especially electrical and drivability
  • Leadership mindset and willingness to mentor others
  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Valid driver's license with insurable driving record
  • Professional tool inventory
  • Diesel experience is a huge plus
