Lead Cabinet Maker (Brooklyn) — $47/hr to Start (Full-Time)

We are hiring a Lead Cabinet Maker for high-end residential custom cabinetry and architectural millwork (mostly Manhattan + Brooklyn). This is a hands-on role for someone who can build, lead, and keep production moving to premium standards.

Pay
$47/hour starting
Full-time, steady work
Review after 90 days based on performance

What You’ll Do

Lead daily shop production and assign work to cabinet makers/helpers
Build high-skill pieces yourself (veneers, curved work, detailed assemblies, mockups)
Maintain quality control during machining, assembly, and pre-finish stages
Read shop drawings, solve problems, and flag missing details early
Keep work flowing: cut → edge band → assembly → sanding → finishing → staging
Coordinate with drafting/installation so jobs ship complete and on schedule
Keep the shop organized: tools, jigs, setups, and finished-part protection

Requirements

Strong experience in high-end cabinet making / millwork
Can work from shop drawings with accuracy and clean execution
Reliable, organized, and able to lead a small team without drama
High standard for fit, reveals, alignment, and finish readiness
