Lead Carpenter / Carpenter Foreman, Residential Remodeling
Lead Carpenter/ Carpenter Foreman
Description
HyggeHus is hiring a Lead Carpenter / Carpenter Foreman for high-quality residential remodeling in the Twin Cities metro.
This is a hands-on field leadership role for someone who can build, lead, organize the jobsite, communicate clearly, and protect quality from start to finish. We are looking for a true remodeling carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship and can help keep projects moving.
What you will do:
- Lead hands-on carpentry work on residential remodeling projects
- Help organize daily jobsite work, materials, tools, and next steps
- Read plans, scopes, and project notes
- Lead or support apprentices and other field team members
- Communicate with the Project Manager / Project Supervisor about schedule, questions, issues, and changes
- Use Buildertrend software to review schedules, scopes, job notes, selections, files, photos, and updates
- Protect finished spaces, maintain a clean jobsite, and respect client-occupied homes
- Catch problems early before they become expensive or disruptive
- Help maintain HyggeHus standards for quality, safety, schedule, margin, and client trust
- Have strong hands-on residential remodeling carpentry experience
- Can perform quality framing, trim, finish work, and general remodeling tasks
- Have led another carpenter, apprentice, or small crew
- Can think ahead and plan the next few steps of the job
- Are organized with tools, materials, jobsite cleanliness, and communication
- Are comfortable working in high-trust client homes
- Have Buildertrend experience or are comfortable learning and using construction software daily
- Care about doing the job right, not just getting it done fast
- Want steady work with a company that values craftsmanship, systems, and team alignment
Buildertrend experience is a strong preference for HyggeHus. We use systems to keep schedules, scopes, files, job notes, photos, and communication organized. The right person does not need to be an office person, but they do need to be willing to use the system instead of relying only on memory, texts, or verbal updates.
Compensation:
$35-$45/hour based on experience, skill level, reliability, leadership ability, tool knowledge, quality of work, jobsite judgment, software comfort, and ability to help projects move efficiently.
Benefits:
