Lead Carpenter – Full-Time (Crafted By Cohen LLC)

Crafted By Cohen LLC is a growing residential construction company specializing in high-quality remodeling, decking, and finish carpentry. We take pride in clean work, strong client relationships, and delivering results the right way.

We’re looking for a Lead Carpenter who can take ownership of projects in the field, lead a small crew, and represent the company professionally with clients.

Position Overview:

The Lead Carpenter is responsible for managing day-to-day job site operations, executing work at a high level, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within scope.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage 1–2 crew members on-site

Perform carpentry work including framing, trim, cabinetry, and general remodeling
Build decks from start to finish (layout, footings, framing, decking, railing)
Ensure all deck construction meets local building codes and inspection requirements
Read and interpret plans, drawings, and scopes of work
Communicate clearly with clients and company owner
Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
Coordinate materials, deliveries, and workflow
Identify and solve problems in real time

Requirements:

5+ years of hands-on carpentry experience
Strong knowledge of residential construction (framing → finish)
Strong experience in deck building (wood and composite systems like Trex, TimberTech, etc.)
Solid understanding of deck building codes (footings depth, spans, ledger attachment, railing height, inspections, etc.)
Leadership ability and job site management experience
Must have own tools and reliable transportation
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to communicate professionally with clients
Reliable, punctual, and accountable

Compensation:

Competitive pay based on experience ($28 - $40)
