Lead Carpenter - Residential Remodeling

We are seeking an experienced Residential Remodeling Carpenter to run small job-site teams and oversee high-quality residential renovation projects. This role is ideal for a skilled carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship, has strong leadership skills, and is motivated to teach and develop less-experienced carpenters. You will be responsible for both hands-on carpentry and daily crew management.

This is a hands-on, working crew lead position. We are not seeking project managers or office-based supervisors. The ideal candidate is on the field daily and leads by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a crew of 2–3 carpenters/laborers on residential remodeling projects
• Plan daily work tasks and set clear expectations for crew members
• Perform all phases of residential remodeling carpentry
• Train, mentor, and coach junior carpenters in proper techniques and job-site standards
• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to company quality standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and scopes of work
• Monitor job-site safety, cleanliness, and organization
• Identify potential issues and communicate solutions proactively

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading or supervising a small crew
• Strong framing and finish carpentry skills
• Ability to teach carpentry techniques and explain processes clearly
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• High standards for craftsmanship and job-site professionalism
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with company drug-free workplace policies
