Lead Carpenter / Working Foreman

LevBuilt is hiring an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our growing construction team.

We are looking for someone who is not only skilled in carpentry and residential construction, but who can also lead a crew, communicate well, problem-solve on site, and take responsibility for the quality and progress of the job.

Pay:

• $30–$40 per hour, based on experience and skill level.
• 90-day paid trial period to make sure the position is a good fit for both you and our company.

Areas We Currently Work:

• Hudson County
• Essex County
• Passaic County
• Morris County
• Mercer County

( Locations can change in the future)
**Applicants must be comfortable traveling to different job sites.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and work alongside a small construction crew
• Perform general carpentry and renovation work
• Read plans, measurements, and job scopes
• Keep projects moving efficiently
• Communicate with the owner regarding job progress and issues
• Maintain quality workmanship and an organized job site
• Guide helpers and other workers when necessary
• Troubleshoot problems that come up in the field

Experience We’re Looking For:

• Experience in several areas of residential renovation, including:
• Framing
• Trim and finish carpentry
• Doors and windows
• Drywall and repairs
• Kitchens and bathrooms
• Flooring
• General remodeling and renovation work
• Tiling

***This is not a general laborer or entry-level carpenter position. We are specifically looking for an experienced carpenter who is ready to take on a leadership role.
