Description
Olive City Construction is hiring an experienced, hands-on Lead Carpenter/Working Foreman for residential additions, ADUs, and remodeling projects in the Sacramento and Carmichael area.
This is not an entry-level or general labor position. We need someone who can lead a small crew, work independently, read blueprints, plan ahead, and perform quality work across multiple phases of residential construction.
Responsibilities include:
- Reading plans and laying out work
- Framing and structural carpentry
- Doors, windows, cabinets, trim, and finish carpentry
- Drywall, siding, flooring, punch work, and general remodeling
- Working knowledge of residential plumbing and electrical systems
- Coordinating employees, subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections
- Setting daily production goals and keeping the project on schedule
- Preparing material lists before materials are needed
- Completing daily logs, time records, and progress photos
- Maintaining quality control, jobsite safety, and cleanliness
- Participating in and helping lead weekly tailgate safety meetings
- Communicating delays, problems, and questions immediately
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable residential construction or remodeling experience
- Previous lead, foreman, or crew-management experience
- Broad knowledge of construction from demolition through finish work
- Ability to work productively without constant supervision
- Reliable attendance, communication, and documentation
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and basic hand tools
- Three verifiable professional references
- Current résumé and project photos or examples
- Full-time W-2 position
- $35–$42 per hour, based on verified skills and experience
- Overtime paid according to California law
- PTO and paid sick leave according to company policy and California law
- 90-day introductory evaluation period
- Opportunity to advance into a Superintendent or Field Operations position as the company grows
