Canright Construction LLC | Seattle, WA | Established 1985

Build exceptional homes. Lead a small team. Take pride in your work.

Canright Construction is a long-established company specializing in residential remodel, tenant improvement and light commercial construction. Since 1985, we have served the greater Seattle area, relying primarily on referrals from satisfied customers. Under new ownership, we're entering an exciting new chapter while continuing the tradition of quality craftsmanship and integrity that has defined the company for more than 40 years.

We're looking for a skilled Lead Carpenter / Working Foreman who can run projects in the field, mentor less experienced carpenters, and deliver craftsmanship and service we are proud to put our name on.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys solving problems, communicating with homeowners, and building quality projects.

What you'll do:

  • Lead residential remodeling and tenant improvement projects from demolition to turn-key completion.
  • Perform high-quality carpentry including framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and keep projects moving
  • Read plans and identify field solutions before problems become delays
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
  • Communicate daily with project management and homeowners
  • Mentor less experienced carpenters and apprentices to help build a strong team
What we're looking for:
  • 7+ years of residential, light commercial carpentry experience
  • Proven experience leading remodeling projects
  • Strong finish carpentry skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read construction drawings and layouts, work with subcontractors and assist with material takeoffs.
  • Own and maintain the appropriate tools for residential remodeling and carpentry
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Professional, dependable, and respectful with clients
  • Someone who takes pride in their work and wants to play a meaningful role in the next chapter of a well-established Seattle remodeling company.
What we offer:
  • $35–$50/hour, depending on experience
  • Paid PTO
  • Opportunity for advancement into Superintendent or Project Manager roles
  • Small team where your voice matters and quality comes before volume
  • The opportunity to play an important role in the next chapter of an established Seattle remodeling company
