Lead Facilities Technician

Description

Santa Fe Management Group (SFMG) is seeking a dependable, experienced Lead Facilities Technician to support facilities operations for community associations and commercial clients throughout Santa Fe. Join a growing team responsible for maintenance, inspections, repairs, pool operations, contractor coordination, and facility improvements across a diverse portfolio of properties. Strong technology skills are required, as all maintenance operations are managed through a computerized work order and facilities management system. The ideal candidate is reliable, communicative, organized, and comfortable documenting work, updating work orders, uploading photos, and responding electronically to service requests and management directives. Full benefits package includes paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, health insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance. Pool experience is preferred, and New Mexico Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is a plus, though we are willing to train the right candidate. Santa Fe area residency is required. Competitive compensation based on experience, technical abilities, communication skills, leadership potential, reliability, and technology proficiency.

What Success Looks Like

You'll probably enjoy this position if you:

Show up when scheduled.

Communicate proactively.
Take ownership of your work.
Enjoy solving problems independently.
Can switch between maintenance, inspections, resident service, and contractor coordination.
Are comfortable using technology throughout your workday.
Take pride in keeping facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Want to continue learning and growing professionally.
Can work as part of a team while still being self-directed.

This position is probably not a good fit if you:

Dislike using smartphones, apps, computers, or work order software.
Prefer little or no documentation of your work.
Need constant supervision or direction.
Are frequently unavailable, late, or difficult to contact.
Struggle with communication and follow-through.
Are looking for a temporary job rather than a long-term opportunity.
Prefer to work alone without coordinating with coworkers, contractors, residents, and management.

We're looking for someone who is dependable, accountable, technology-friendly, and committed to providing high-quality service to the facilities and communities we support.
