LEAD FRAMER / WORKING FOREMAN

$30–$36/hour | Weekly Pay | San Antonio Area

Citadel Framing Contractors is looking for an experienced Lead Framer / Working Foreman to help build and lead our framing operation.

This is a hands-on leadership position. We need someone who can take a set of plans, perform layout, organize manpower, lead production, and work alongside the crew without requiring constant supervision.

Our initial crew structure:

1 Lead Framer / Foreman
2 Carpenters
1 Helper

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Read residential plans and perform layout independently
• Frame walls, floors, roofs, openings, and structural components
• Lead and work alongside your framing crew
• Assign daily work and maintain production
• Keep projects plumb, level, square, and built to plan
• Identify manpower and material needs before they affect production
• Maintain quality while minimizing rework and waste
• Help recruit, vet, train, and develop additional carpenters
• Communicate progress, problems, and upcoming needs to management
• Maintain a safe, organized, professional jobsite

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You should have substantial residential framing experience and previous experience as a Lead Carpenter, Crew Leader, or Framing Foreman.

The ideal candidate can:

• Read plans without constant assistance
• Perform structural layout
• Run a productive framing crew
• Recognize and recruit skilled carpenters
• Plan manpower and material requirements
• Solve problems before production stops
• Hold a crew accountable for quality and production
• Take ownership of an assigned framing project

Reliable transportation and basic carpenter hand tools are required.

Commercial or light-gauge metal framing experience is a major plus, but not required. We are willing to develop a strong residential framing leader into commercial framing as the company grows.

COMPENSATION

$30–$36/hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ability.

Paid weekly.

Typical schedule:

Monday–Friday
7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Approximately 40 hours per week

Additional hours may be available depending on workload and project schedules.

A formal 90-day performance and compensation review will evaluate production, leadership, workmanship, reliability, layout ability, crew development, material management, communication, and ability to operate independently.

Exceptional performance can lead to increased compensation and responsibility.

Potential progression:

Lead Framer → General Foreman → Superintendent → Field Operations

Future work is expected to include residential framing, commercial construction, light-gauge metal framing, and larger commercial/government projects.
