LEAD METAL FABRICATOR (architectural)

Seeking a lead metal fabricator with at least 5 years experience in ARCHITECTURAL METAL FABRICATION for making custom: furniture, sculpture, lighting and architectural items like: doors, planters, fireplace surrounds, and trim. No CNC experience required but CNC press brake experience is a big plus. We are not seeking a "Welder". Welding is important but it's a small part of the job requirements.

Applicant must be a skilled welder as well as a versatile fabricator who's proficient in a wide array of tools, machinery and processes. A qualified applicant should also have a deep understanding of various metals and their unique qualities.

Applicant must be proficient in:

MIG/TIG welding, sheet metal fabrication and metal finishing like polishing and patina. You should be familiar with the industry standard finishes and how to create them. A qualified applicant should know basic machining (on manual Mill & Lathe) as well as familiarity with tube rolling/bending. Occasional heavy lifting is a requirement in this position. You should have experience operating a forklift and overhead crane. You MUST be: 100% reliable, comfortable working alone, a good problem solver and able to keep a clean and organized work space.

We are a very small team in a large, clean, organized and well equipped shop.

Regular work hours are M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 with a rare evenings or weekends to meet deadlines. 2 weeks PTO is included in your salary. Professional references and resume required.
