Job Type: Full-time

About the Role:
Are you a mechanical problem-solver who takes pride in building perfectly square, highly efficient mechanical rooms? We are seeking a skilled Lead Pool Equipment & Automation Technician to join our team.
This is not a pool-cleaning or brush-and-basket job. You will be the go-to technical specialist responsible for plumbing high-end residential pads, troubleshooting complex commercial equipment rooms, and programming advanced automation control systems. If you have a sharp eye for diagnostics, a passion for clean PVC layouts, and the skills to wire and program low-voltage systems, we want to talk to you.
What You’ll Do:
- Equipment Installation & Plumbing: New construction PVC pool pluming lines. Pool Equipment layout, build, and weld high-pressure PVC plumbing lines, manifolds, and loop configurations for pumps, filters, heaters, and sanitation systems.
- Low-Voltage & Automation Programming: Wire, configure, and troubleshoot advanced pool automation control boards (e.g., Pentair IntelliTouch/EasyTouch, Jandy AquaLink, Hayward OmniLogic), including relays, actuators, sensors, and remote app integration.
- Advanced Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair complex residential and commercial mechanical room issues, including gas/electric heaters, variable-speed pumps, salt chlorination cells, and leak detection.
- Client Consultation: Walk residential homeowners and commercial facility managers through their newly installed systems, explaining automation features and equipment operation clearly.
- Proven Mechanical Experience: Minimum 2–3+ years of direct experience in pool service repair, commercial irrigation mechanics, or specialized industrial plumbing/HVAC.
- PVC Mastery: Absolute precision in PVC plumbing layout, solvent welding, and pressure testing.
- Electrical/Low-Voltage Aptitude: Confident diagnosing low-voltage control circuits, wiring relays, and navigating digital automation menus.
- Certifications (A Plus, But Not Required): Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or manufacturer training (Pentair, Jandy, Hayward) is highly valued.
- Reliability: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to work independently in the field.
- Highly competitive hourly pay ($25.00 – $45.00/hr DOE) with a path to the top tier for proven independent leads.
- Reliable, year-round local work schedule.
- Company service vehicle, specialized tools, and diagnostic equipment provided.
- Professional development and ongoing technical training on the latest automation technology.
- 401k Matching, Health Ins, PTO after 1st Year, Paid Holidays
