Role Description: The Lead Construction Foreman is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction operations across assigned projects. This position leads on-site and remote crews, coordinates tasks, and ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with project plans and specifications. Responsibilities include assigning work, monitoring quality, managing subcontractors, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. The Foreman tracks progress, identifies issues, and implements corrective actions to maintain productivity and compliance with local codes, safety standards, and company procedures. The role also involves documenting project updates, supporting budgeting and materials planning, and fostering effective communication among all team members.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess strong hands-on construction and carpentry skills and experience leading crews on ground-up or similar projects.
- Candidates should possess quality-control and site-inspection skills to ensure compliance with plans, codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Candidates should possess the capability to operate or supervise heavy equipment, with a focus on safe and efficient job site operations.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills to coordinate teams, report to management, and collaborate with engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with civil engineering concepts or site work, including grading, utilities, and structural foundations, or be able to work closely with engineering professionals.
- Experience as a construction foreman, superintendent, or lead in commercial or residential projects is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, is preferred.
- Ability to manage schedules, read blueprints, use project management tools, and adapt to remote coordination requirements is beneficial.
