The Opportunity:

Boxer Construction NW is hiring a Lead Remodeling Carpenter with particular strength in:
-Complete bathroom remodeling
-Tile shower installation
-Waterproofing systems
-Drywall repair and texture matching
-Interior painting and finish work

This is not a tile-setter-only position. It is a leadership role for a well-rounded remodeling professional who can take ownership of a project from demolition through final paint and punch list.

Although this position will have a strong bathroom and interior-finish focus, our projects also include kitchens, additions, structural renovations, decks, siding, and whole-home remodels.

What You’ll Do:

As a Lead Remodeling Carpenter, you will take responsibility for the daily execution of residential remodeling projects while maintaining Boxer’s standards for craftsmanship, communication, and client care.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Leading bathroom remodels from demolition through completion
-Reviewing plans, selections, scopes, and project details before work begins
-Planning the daily work and maintaining efficient project sequencing
-Coordinating with the Project Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and supporting carpenters
-Directing and training apprentices or other field team members
-Evaluating framing, plumbing, and substrate conditions before finishes are installed
-Completing framing, blocking, backing, and other project preparation
-Preparing shower walls and floors for waterproofing and tile
-Installing manufacturer-approved shower waterproofing systems
-Completing or overseeing shower flood tests
-Planning tile layouts for balanced cuts and clean transitions
-Installing shower pans, wall tile, mosaics, niches, shelves, benches, and related details
-Maintaining proper slope, alignment, joint spacing, coverage, and lippage control
-Hanging, patching, and finishing drywall
-Matching existing orange-peel, knockdown, and other residential textures
