Leadman/Forman/ Working Superintendent Underground Utilities

LOCAL CIVIL CONSTRUCTION FIRM that specializes in government, commercial and private site development; earthmoving/excavation & grading as well as underground utilities projects. Currently hiring qualified and serious career-oriented professionals that possess the following skills and mature character.

WORKING SUPERINTENDENT UNDERGROUND UTILITIES & PROJECT:

• Must have professional underground utilities experience.
• Shows extremely professional, detailed, and able to conduct meetings with owners, representatives, and engineers; providing as-builds and all related paperwork as required.
• Be an example of excellence to all and in all, requiring employees to follow this spirit of excellence.
• Be a team leader by being a team player; able to jump in with the crew wherever and whenever necessary.
• Be a good communicator, motivator, and a hands-on leader.
• Possess understanding while having the strength to handle situations that arise whether it be with clients or employees.
• Be able to instruct, as well as take instruction, listen to ideas, and learn new techniques.
• Be able to ensure job site safety and encourage safe work practices including safety meetings with associated documentation.
• Be able to ensure that equipment is being safely and mechanically operated in a proper manner to provide protection for all employees and equipment.
• Be able to ensure that each project is being performed in accordance with the plans, the budget and scheduled timelines.
• Must ensure quality control.
• Understand plans and survey staking
• Be able to coordinate with crew members to plan and carry out various activities in the installation of new underground, water, sewer, and storm utilities as well as pressure test new installation and complete finish subgrades.
• Proficient in the self-operation of a wide variety of heavy equipment.
• Able and willing to teach and instruct employees in all skills required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Commitment to the company’s vision and your career.
• Must conduct self in a highly professional manner.
• Must be in very good physical health and able to lift 70+ lbs.
• All positions above must have a valid Driver’s License, clean driving record and reliable daily transportation.
• Travel and/or out of town stays at times may be required. But are rare.
• Must be routinely punctual and reliable to the job and on the job.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
15+ years of exact type of work application presented above. 20+ years of experience preferred.

COMPENSATION:
$35-$45 per hour depending on your level of experience and work ethic.

HOURS:
40-hour weeks or as necessary. Must be available for unexpected and/or pre-planned overtime if emergency and/or project timelines requires.
