Job Description
The Plumber – Service & Maintenance is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing systems, fixtures, and related mechanical equipment throughout Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
This position requires a dependable and detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to perform high-quality work in a complex, fast-paced airport environment. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining critical infrastructure that supports the comfort and reliability of airport operations while representing MESA with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on domestic water, sanitary, and storm systems across airport terminals and facilities.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair leaks, clogs, valves, pumps, backflow preventers, and other plumbing components.
- Install and repair fixtures including sinks, toilets, urinals, drinking fountains, and floor drains.
- Service and maintain water heaters, recirculation pumps, and related piping systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to perform installations and repairs according to specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with plumbing codes, airport standards, and company safety procedures.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and maintenance requests to minimize service disruptions.
- Complete documentation, work orders, and inspection reports accurately using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Maintain tools, equipment, and mechanical rooms in safe and organized condition.
- Support airport operations, passengers, and tenants with professionalism and courtesy.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in capital projects, renovations, and system upgrades as directed.
- Participate in inspections, system testing, and compliance verification for DFW and JLL requirements.
- Coordinate with other trades (HVAC, Electrical, Structural) to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Participate in ongoing safety and technical training programs.
- Be available for on-call rotations, nights, weekends, and holiday shifts as required by airport operations.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial plumbing service and maintenance.
- Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License required (Master License preferred).
- Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification preferred.
- Experience working in large institutional or commercial facilities (airport, hospital, campus, or similar).
- Familiar with CMMS systems and work order documentation.
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and pass DFW Airport badging and background check requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform duties in all weather conditions.
