Licensed General Contractor WA

We are a general contracting company that specializes in repair and remodeling work. It requires all applicants to be a licensed general contractor in Washington however you will be operating under the insurance, bond and license of Handy Home Repair and be paid as an independent contractor. You will also have L and I insurance coverage under the company.

This job is perfect for a guy who has gaps in his schedule as this is not a full time job. This also works well for guys with experience in construction and are just starting out their contracting business. You will also have worked referred to you that is outside of the work you perform for Handy Home Repair. These details can be discussed upon application.

We are well networked into the real estate industry and provide work for customers who are either getting ready to list their house or have signed a sales agreement and are under obligation to make repairs by closing. We also do general repairs for homeowners and property managers alike including bathroom remodeling and updates. Most jobs are 2-3 day projects although we occasionally do larger jobs that may take up to a week or a month. We take a very team approach to our business and you will be working along side other skilled contractors.

You must have your own van or truck and will be responsible at times to pick up material as well as making dump runs. You will be compensated for your time and paid for your gas. You must also have a valid drivers license and pass a background check. You will also be required to have your own tools and equipment. You may also borrow tools from the company when needed.

The skills you will need are fairly broad: siding, windows, doors, decks, vinyl flooring and lots of problem solving. Tiling experience and dry wall is a plus. The truth is all of us have projects we enjoy doing because of our skills and experience and we try and match those for you.
