Description
Jacob Electric LLC is hiring qualified and experienced Licensed Journeyman Electricians and Electrical Apprentices for commercial electrical projects in the Orlando area.
Candidates should have commercial electrical experience, be able to read and follow electrical drawings, work effectively as part of a field team, and complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable electrical codes and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist with commercial electrical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and blueprints
- Install conduit, wiring, boxes, devices, lighting, panels, and electrical equipment
- Complete daily tasks assigned by the foreman or project supervisor
- Lead, supervise, or assist field crews based on experience and license level
- Prepare or assist with material takeoffs and material lists
- Report field conflicts, additional work, and material needs
- Assist with RFIs, change-order documentation, and daily jobsite reports
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
- Ensure installations comply with the NEC, local codes, project plans, and safety standards
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and quality-control inspections
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and productive jobsite
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or Electrical Apprentice registration, as applicable
- Previous commercial electrical experience
- Strong understanding of electrical tools, materials, and installation methods
- Journeymen must have strong knowledge of the NEC and commercial electrical systems
- Apprentices must be able to follow instructions and work under proper supervision
- Ability to read electrical plans and follow written specifications
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
