Description
Jacob Electric LLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Licensed Journeyman Electrician or Electrical Foreman for commercial electrical projects in the Orlando area.
The ideal candidate must be able to read and interpret electrical blueprints, lead field electricians, assign daily tasks, coordinate work with project management and other trades, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable electrical codes.
Responsibilities include:
- Read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and blueprints
- Lead and supervise electricians and apprentices on commercial jobsites
- Assign daily tasks and monitor work progress
- Prepare material takeoffs and material lists
- Identify field conflicts and prepare RFIs
- Identify additional work and document potential change orders
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
- Ensure installations comply with the NEC, local codes, project plans, and safety requirements
- Track labor, materials, job progress, and completed work
- Perform troubleshooting, installation, testing, and quality-control inspections
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent qualification
- Proven commercial electrical experience
- Previous foreman or lead electrician experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of the NEC and commercial electrical systems
- Ability to read blueprints and prepare material lists
- Experience with RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
