Licensed New Jersey Master HVACR Contractor — Bona Fide Representative & Technical Advisor

Location: New Jersey

Engagement: Independent Contractor / Part-Time Advisory Role

Compensation: Monthly retainer, plus additional consulting fees

We are launching a professionally managed HVAC business in New Jersey and are seeking a licensed New Jersey Master HVACR Contractor in good standing to serve as the company’s Bona Fide Representative and technical advisor.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced, semi-retired, or retired HVAC professional who would like to remain involved in the industry without managing daily field operations.

Responsibilities may include:

• Serving as the company’s registered Bona Fide Representative in accordance with New Jersey requirements
• Providing reasonable technical guidance when complex HVAC questions arise
• Reviewing technical procedures, installations, or estimates when necessary
• Supporting the company with regulatory and industry compliance
• Being available for occasional consultations, meetings, or site visits
• Helping establish appropriate quality-control and safety standards
• Maintaining an active New Jersey Master HVACR Contractor license in good standing

Preferred qualifications:

• Active New Jersey Master HVACR Contractor license
• Strong knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems
• Familiarity with New Jersey codes, permitting, inspections, and regulatory requirements
• Professional, dependable, and responsive
• Comfortable serving in an advisory and qualifying capacity
• Interested in a long-term professional relationship with a growing company

Compensation structure:

• Negotiable monthly retainer
• Additional hourly or project-based consulting fees for work beyond the agreed scope
• Potential performance incentives
• Any legally required ownership or corporate position will be discussed and properly documented

The company’s owners will oversee business development, administration, staffing, scheduling, and daily operations. The selected professional will primarily provide licensing qualification, compliance oversight, and technical support.
All arrangements will be documented through a formal agreement defining compensation, responsibilities, availability, authority, liability, termination terms, and any applicable ownership requirements.
